Meet our Doctors

Dr. Matt Quinn was born in Chilliwack, BC.  He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology as well as his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia.  His interest in dentistry started while working in a veterinary office, helping a dental veterinarian attend to the oral needs of cats and dogs. Or perhaps, it started in Grade 4 when he helped to extract his classmates' teeth at recess?!

After graduation in 2008, he followed his wife to Nanaimo where she was completing her studies.  Dr. Quinn has gained invaluable experience over time through various practice opportunities, learning from colleagues, assisting oral surgeons and ongoing involvement with study clubs. He is dedicated to providing full-service dentistry in a caring and friendly manner to his patients and their families.

In his spare time Dr. Quinn enjoys working on his hobby farm with his wife and 2 kids and has recently become a bee keeper.  He also loves mountain biking, golfing, surfing, fishing and woodworking.

Dr. Bligh has lived on Vancouver island for most of her life with her husband and two children.  When she isn't at work, you will find her mountain or road riding with friends or hiking with her boxer "Dora". Her family focuses every day on living a life of kindness, gratitude, and giving back to those that need it.

After receiving an undergraduate degree in Microbiology and graduating from UBC Dental School where she received honours in preventative and restorative dentistry, she moved to Nanaimo in the year 2000.  Dr. Bligh's smile will be familiar to many as she has been practicing dentistry in the Nanaimo community for over 20 years. After raising her family, she is excited to embrace this final chapter in her career.

Dr. Bligh is known for her compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.  Patients can feel at ease as they hear her infectious laughter throughout the clinic.  Once you meet her, you will see that she truly cares about people and loves what she does.  She approaches her career with gratitude that patient's put their trust in her and she doesn't take this responsibility lightly.  Her practice includes all aspects of dentistry including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, oral surgery and paediatric dentistry.  Dr. Bligh has continued to invest in her dental education through courses such as IPODE (island pursuit of Dental Excellence) and Spears Study Club.
